Hi. I’m Barry Ackerman. I’ve been involved in the Human Resources field for over a decade.

I started my HR career as an accountant. Yes, you read that right. Because of my knack for HR, my role gradually transitioned to full-time HR Manager and eventually HR Director. Over the years, I took on additional HR roles in other companies, leaving accounting behind completely.

I started helping small companies privately, guiding them through the complexities of HR based on my years of experience. I then realized that providing outsourced HR services is something that I am passionate about, so I decided to focus all my efforts on working with these smaller businesses.

I earned the nationally recognized SHRM-CP credential and founded Supportive HR. Since then I have continued to stay up to date on new developments and regularly participate in multiple forms of continuing education to ensure that my clients are getting the absolute best service available.

With my strong business background, easygoing nature, and solid understanding of the challenges faced by a wide variety of businesses and industries, I have successfully guided many businesses through a wide range of HR scenarios and challenges.
